Riley welch is a poet from texas living in Denver. She posts three original poems a week.

Here I grew tired and heavy

the shouts of men and

women, in the streets,

or at the microphone,

sometimes they whisper

their secrets, sometimes

they shout lies, but

always I am somewhat

annoyed, but listening,

because this is what I

think I should be

doing at places and

times. Like them, unable

to see, perhaps, the

need for their words

are possibly the need

for my life on this

Earth at all.

Is this still art?
